What to Bring:
Dress comfortable and in layers. The breathwork can cause either a drop or raise in body temperature depending on the individual. Bring a journal, your mat, a water bottle and any other creature comforts you may want. A sleep mask or blind fold is highly recommended . Blankets, bolsters, crystals, stuffed animals are all wonderful support tools.
What is Breathwork:
Breathwork is the term used for a conscious breathing practice which helps people to get centered, to release old patterns, thoughts, and behaviors, and to re-balance their body, mind and spirit. This practice stems back to ancient times and is based in the yogic traditions of pranayama. Prana, meaning life and Ayama to extend. It involves the regulation of breath using any number of techniques or patterns.
Breathwork is the ideal practice for anyone looking to tap into their own inner healing, raise consciousness and become a master of manifestation! This specific practice will be a very active and physical modality which involves inhales and exhales through the mouth in a paced, three part, circular rhythm done to music while being guided by Michelle the entire way.
During a Breathwork practice, numerous feel-good chemicals are released into the brain including Oxytocin, Endorphins, and Dimethyltryptamine (DMT). People often experience out of body sensations where they are able to disconnect from the physical body, painful stories, and their attachment to any false narratives or limiting beliefs…allowing a more blissful, and peaceful energy of surrender. From this state, people are able to achieve more in their life with less effort and stress.

This guided experience combines the power of intention setting through guided journal prompts, meditation, breathwork, reiki and sound immersion to shift and transform your inner state.
What Our Practice Will Look Like:
The three-part breath allows us to access and release subconscious and emotional blockages in the body. This practice opens you to healing emotional wounds, releasing stress, and inviting a deep sense of presence, inspiration, and gratitude.
Once in this state, you will experience an immersive journey through sound. The orchestration of instruments including crystal singing bowls, symphonic gong, shamanic drum, ocean drum, chimes and other instruments, will ease you into a deeper state of calm, activating the parasympathetic nervous system to naturally allow in healing for the mind, body, and soul. This is the ultimate practice of self connection and self love.
Who is Michelle?
Michelle is a yoga teacher with close to 1000 hours of training. She holds an E-RYT designation at the 200 hr level and is currently in study for a 500hr designation. She has studied in the lineage of Johnny Kest amongst many other advanced yoga professionals. She is trained in advanced breathwork practices and is a certified Reiki practiotioner.
What Michelle Wants You to Know:
I found yoga in 2006. What started out as a curiosity for a new "workout" turned into the work IN of a lifetime. Every time I stepped on my mat; it was an adventure in self-discovery. Over time my practice became my safe space and my mat my best friend. I slowly began to immerse myself in literature and workshops until finally taking the first of many teacher trainings in 2017. I never had the intention to teach. Before I even completed my first training, I was asked to lead a weekly series of meditation workshops. When I saw the power of what the core of this practice can offer to those that were seeking to travel inward, how it could help heal and connect in ways nothing else could, I knew the importance of what I had been tasked with. Moving forward it has been my privilege to hold space for anyone looking for greater self-connection. Now in my 40's as a mother of 3 and a wife I am more committed than ever to living my yoga OFF my mat as well as on. While I appreciate the power yoga that was my introduction to the practice my endless desire for growth has led me to extensive inner work with plant medicine, breath and trauma healing. My constant search for evolution has led me to certifications in yoga, reiki and healing breathwork as well as intuitively guided me into my journey as a sound healing facilitator. I am passionate about guiding others in their journey to tapping into their own inner healer. I find myself constantly shifting and expanding so that my offers are an inclusive space! I hope to bring a dynamic and introspective practice where ALL HUMANS from all walks of life can connect mind, body, and spirit safely and lovingly.
