Yoga For:
Low Back Pain
Led By Alicia
Tension, discomfort, numbness and pain in the low back can inhibit what you do and how you do it. In this workshop you will be releasing fascial tension in the upper back and the hips. You may be thinking, wait a minute I thought this was focused on the low back? And it is!
Often times the low back gets overworked due to structural changes in the spine and the hips from fascial adhesions and dysfunctional muscles. If your shoulders and hips are stuck in flexion (rounding forward) or hyperextension ( over arching ) there is a lack mobility and engagement in your body forcing your low back to compensate for the lack of movement and/ or strength above and below it. Makes sense, right?
You will be releasing the unnecessary tension in your body, and begin to activate the muscles that are not showing up as they should. By doing this, you will relieve pressure off your low back, regaining mobility and mitigating pain.
